How to apply

If you are an education provider and wish to apply for an accreditation assessment of your program of study, you need to contact the Program Accreditation Team and arrange a due date for submission of your application.

The accreditation standards are available on the Accreditation page of the National Board’s website and the accreditation process is available on this page.

Please contact the Program Accreditation Team for the current version of the application form which you need to complete your application correctly.

Accreditation guidance material

Guidance on the evidence to be presented by education providers seeking accreditation or responding to monitoring of an accredited medical radiation practice program, is incorporated into the accreditation standards document, including:

  • the expected information for each standard criterion to be presented
  • explanatory notes for each standard, to help common understandings between accreditation assessment teams and education providers about the Accreditation Committee’s requirements
  • a glossary of key terms used, and
  • a list of acronyms.

Accreditation process

As required by section 45 of the National Law, the Accreditation Committee has published its accreditation process.

The Accreditation Committee is currently reviewing its accreditation process as part of its review of the 2013 accreditation standards and will undertake targeted consultation on a revised process prior to publishing it in mid-2020

Internal review process

If the Accreditation Committee decides not to accredit a program of study, or decides to revoke accreditation of a program, the education provider may apply for an internal review of the decision. The internal review process provides more information:
