Supervisor training

Supervisor training

The Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (the Board) will be offering Teaching On The Run (TOTR) workshops for medical radiation practitioners in 2021.

TOTR is a national program developed by staff of the TELL Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, at the University of Western Australia. The TOTR program helps improve the quality of the teaching and supervision of healthcare practitioners and students and is suitable for all levels of qualified practitioners. The sessions run for a full day and there are two different workshops – clinical supervision and clinical teaching.

Participants can attend either one or both days. It is not essential for both days to be completed sequentially.

Workshops for 2020

Due to the ongoing impacts of COVID19 on meetings and travel the training dates for 2020 have been cancelled.

Workshops for 2021

With the assistance from the people at Teaching on the Run we are developing a program of supervisor training that can be delivered by video conferencing.

We are putting together dates for program in 2021 based on a video conference model, but one that can also return to face to face delivery of the program when circumstances allow.

We expect to have an update by 30 November 2020, in the meantime if you have any queries please contact us by email Board-MRP-RSVP@ahpra.gov.au.
